There are a few things that are out of our hands. This policy will not cover*:
Expenses related to investigations, diagnostics and evaluation
Rest Cure, rehabilitation and respite care
Cost of dietary supplements and unproven treatments
Expenses incurred due to Day Care and OPD treatments
Testing carried out a diagnostic centre that is not authorised by the Government of India
Any claim in case COVID manifested before the commencement of this policy or during the waiting period
Any treatment that takes place outside the geographical limits of India
Cover under this policy will end immediately if the insured travels to a country that has travel restrictions against it by the Government of India

What’s covered?
You will receive a lump sum payment, up to 100% of the sum insured, if you or an insured family member is diagnosed with COVID and requires hospitalisation for a continuous period of at least 72 hours.

What kind of sum insured can I opt for in covid kavach policy?
The minimum sum insured available is INR 50,000. For the COVID Kavach variant, our sum insured goes up to INR 5,00,000. For the COVID Rakshak variant, our sum insured goes up to INR 2,50,000.
What is the age restriction for covid kavach policy?
To purchase this policy, the principal insured needs to be between 18 and 65 years of age.
How many people can I cover under covid kavach policy?
You can choose to cover just an individual or your entire family under a floater policy. We’ll cover you and your spouse as well as dependent parents, parents-in-law and children.

Will I need to complete a medical test for covid insurance?
In most cases, we won’t need you to undergo any kind of test. But, we’ll take a final call based on your age and medical history. If required, we’ll inform you about what we need and reach out to our pre-policy check-up TPA.
Is there any waiting period for corona kavach policy?
Every health insurance policy has a waiting period during which time certain claims are not accepted. Claims that arise during the first 15 days from the date the policy is issued will not be entertained.
How long is my corona kavach policy valid for?
You can choose how long you would like your policy to be valid for. The options available, including the waiting period, are:
Three and a half months, or 105 days
Six and a half months, or 195 days
Nine and a half months, or 285 days
What happens if I lose my corona kavach policy documents?
Once you make the payment, you’ll get a soft copy sent straight to your e-mail. So, even if you do lose your physical copy, you’ll have one waiting in your inbox, but we understand that your e-mail may get deleted, too. If you need another hard or soft copy, you can get in touch with us and we’ll send one across ASAP.

How do I avail the covid insurance cashless facility?
Whether you’ve booked your appointment in advance or need to rush to the hospital in an emergency, simply contact the TPA desk at the network hospital and show them your health card or your policy copy to get cashless services.
What documents do I need to attach with with my hospital claim request for covid insurance?
You will need to attach the following documents with the filled up and signed Claim Form:
Photo ID proof of the insured individual, preferably copies of their passport
Medical practitioner’s prescription advising admission in hospital
Original bills with an itemised breakup of costs and payment receipts
Investigation reports from an authorised COVID testing centre
Your NEFT details along with a cancelled cheque, so that we can directly credit the claim amount to your bank account
If the claim amount is over INR 1,00,000/-, we also require the KYC details of the proposer as per the AML guidelines
A legal heir/succession certificate, wherever applicable
Other documents that the TPA or company request for in order to assess the claim
What is the minimum and maximum entry age group for corona kavach policy?
Minimum Age of Proposer should be 18 years whereas Maximum shall be 90 Years.
What does group corona kavach policy covers?
This product indemnify medical expenses incurred for Hospitalization of the Insured Person during the Policy period for the treatment of Covid on Positive diagnosis of Covid in a government authorized diagnostic centre including the expenses incurred on treatment of any comorbidity along with the treatment for Covid up to the Sum Insured specified in the policy schedule.
What is covered under pre-hospitalization benefit for group corona kavach policy?
Under this coverage we will indemnify pre-hospitalization/home care treatment medical expenses incurred, related to an admissible hospitalization/home care treatment, for a fixed period of 15 days prior to the date of admissible hospitalization/home care treatment covered under the policy.
What is covered under post-hospitalization benefit for group corona kavach policy?
Under this coverage we will indemnify post hospitalization/home care treatment medical expenses incurred, related to an admissible hospitalization/home care treatment, for a fixed period of 30 days from the date of discharge from the hospital, following an admissible hospitalization covered under the policy.
Sum insured available under group corona kavach policy?
Rs 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand) to 5,00,000/- (Five Lakh) (in the multiples of fifty thousand) On Individual basis - SI shall apply to each individual family member On Floater basis - SI shall apply to the entire family
