Personal Accident Cover Sure you don't need it? If you do need it, we have it

a. I/We, the undersigned, hereby declare and warrant that the insurance contract and policy to be issued by Edelweiss General Insurance Company Limited [Company] is subject to the declarations, warranties, statements and particulars given in this proposal form. The statements and particulars given in this proposal form are complete, true and accurate to the best of my/our personal knowledge and belief.
b. I/We have clearly understood the terms and conditions [T & C] applicable to the proposed insurance contract and agree that the statements and particulars given in this proposal form shall be held to be promissory and shall be the basis of the insurance contract between me/us and the Company; and the Company shall have no liability under the insurance contract if it is found that any of my/our statements or particulars or declarations in this proposal form or other documents are incorrect and or untrue or there has been suppression of any information or provision of misleading or false information, in any respect, on any matter regarding the grant of a cover.
c. I/We hereby agree to receive the policy schedule only and understand that the T & C of the proposed insurance contract are available on the website of the Company, www.edelweissinsurance.com.
d. I/We state that the salient features and terms and conditions of the proposed insurance contract have been explained to me/us in vernacular language, and I/We agree to the same.
e. I/We agree to receive service related information from Edelweiss General Insurance Co. Ltd. and its service providers from time to time, through electronic and telecommunication mode including WhatsApp, and understand that no unsolicited information will be sent to me/us.
f. I/We confirm that the premium amount(s) being/to be paid against/under this proposal is/shall be from bona fide sources and not in violation of the provisions of the PML Act, 2002, and its amendments. I/We agree to fully cooperate with the company if document(s) to establish source of such premium amount(s) is/are called for, and understand that the company possesses absolute and sole discretion to cancel the policy, as and if issued, basis my/our conviction by a court of law or competent authority under/relating to the PML Act, 2002 and its amendments.

Bike Insurance FAQs
What is my IDV?
You two wheeler’s IDV or Insured Declared Value refers to the maximum Sum Assured. This amount will be fixed at the beginning of the policy term after a vehicle inspection.
How long is my bike insurance cover valid for?
Typically, your bike insurance policy will be valid for a period of one year. However, there are cases in which you can purchase insurance for up to 3 years at a time. You’ll need to check your policy to understand when it expires.
Are there any situations in which bike insurance policy won't cover me?
This will largely depend on the kind of policy and add-ons you’ve selected. Generally, your bike insurance policy will not cover situations in which the two wheeler is being used illegally, or damages caused by war, war-like situations, or wear and tear of various parts.

Can I transfer the bike insurance NCB from my previous provider?
Absolutely! We’re happy to have you on board, and as long as you renew your bike insurance policy within 90 days of expiry, you’ll continue receiving the NCB.
How do I know if my preferred garage is a cashless one?
We have a wide network of cashless garages across the country, so you’ll never be too far away from one. To find where these garages are located, click here.
If I lose my bike insurance documents, will it affect my cover?
This is something that you won’t have to worry about. If you happen to misplace your bike insurance policy documents, you can let us know and we’ll send you duplicates. Plus, you should have a soft copy on your e-mail, so we’ll always have your back.
Will somebody come and check the damage done once I raise a bike insurance claim?
Yes, we’ll send a surveyor to check out the damage done to your bike after you’ve requested for a claim.
How long will it take for bike insurance claim to be settled?
Once we have all the documents in place, not very long at all. Ideally, we’ll have everything done within just 7 working days.
